Out playing on my Scooter, down visiting in South Orange County. Entered the 405 on Crenshaw at 10:01am, exited Bake Parkway at 10:40am. 40 miles, 39 minutes = 61.5 mph, average. Look like my speedometer is about 10% off -- when it says I am doing 70 mph I am actually just doing the speed limit of 65 mph.
But it does look like I can average 60 mph on the Interstate, and can cover 1,000 miles in 16 hours 40 minutes. With 8 fuel stops at 5 minutes I will have 6 hours 40 minutes for food, restroom stops, and even a snooze and can still do a SS1000.
