Heart Failure

But only partially failure.....

"What is an Ejection Factor?"

The left ventricle never uses all of the blood out in the ventricle, some blood is left inside used. What is pushed out is the "ejection factor" -- how much of the percentage of the blood is left pushed out. Normal is 55% or even more.

"Systolic Dsyfunction" (one of the ways of heart failure.)

"The heart's contaction is weak so less blood is pumped to the lungs and the body. It is usualled defined by an ejection of fraction of 40 to 45 percent or less."

My Ejection Fraction is about 35% . . . .

Aphasia -- about a 1,000,000 in the U.S. have this disorder impairing this expression and understanding of language as well as reading and writing.

Aphasia is caused by damage to one or more of the language areas of the brain; but the brain has no problems with body weakness because their brain injury is not near the parts of the brain that control movement.

They're Trying to Kill Me!

With Stress.

On April 13th I had an angiogram, They didnt' like what they saw so
on April 14th I had open heart surgery, was supposed to be a quadrauple bypass, but the cut back to a triple as the part of the heart that the fourth bypass was going to go to was mostly dead. Jusdt to make sure I didn't keel over from another heart attack
on April 19th I had a third surgery where I got an Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator. You know on the TV shows where they grab the paddles and zap the person back to life -- that's what I have built into me.

The sternun, or breast bone, the one down the center of the chest, was sawn in half vertically so that the ribs could be pulled apart and the heart worked upon. It was then sort of wired back together. It takes six weeks to heal. Until then I am not to -- Drive, lift more than 5 pounds, pull or push heavy objects, do vigorous upper body movement. Since they cut into my leg to grab pieces of veins, I am to also keep my legs elevated as much as possible.

Meanwhile, my last paycheck was $800 short. I ws expected to apply for State Disability while I was in the hospital. Finally gor the papers off to them, informed that it takes Kaiser 10 days to process and that the State is running about a month behind.

My boss expects me back to work immediately. When I called our clerk she laughed at my troubles. My disability is only good through tomorrow, but the "Intergrated Disability Service Center" has me listed with a June 19th return to work date. That's according to the automated call tree. Hey, what do you expect, they are CONTRACTORS! They don't care. AT&T doesn't care. No one cares about the employee any more.
